Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician $30 - $35/hr | Plainfield, IN Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance activities, including scheduled inspections, calibrations, safety checks, lubrication, and component replacements to minimize equipment downtime. Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery such as motors, conveyor systems, folder gluers, presses, banders, bundlers, and printing equipment. Inspect, diagnose, and replace mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, gears, and drive systems to ensure smooth and reliable operation. Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, including belts, rollers, motors, and associated controls, to ensure proper material flow. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation to support accurate troubleshooting and repairs. Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on three-phase power systems and industrial control circuits in a safe and efficient manner. Use welding and basic fabrication skills as needed to repair or modify equipment and support maintenance projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a corrugating or corrugated manufacturing environment is a strong plus. Familiarity with folder gluers, presses, banders, bundlers, and printing equipment is highly beneficial. Ability to work independently within a small team structure. Comfort working from technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment safety and reliability. Effective communication skills to collaborate with production and maintenance colleagues. Willingness to work second shift hours and occasional Saturdays as needed. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a clean industrial facility on the second shift, working approximately 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed. The position includes a shift differential for second shift work. You will be part of a small maintenance team and often work independently, handling a variety of tasks across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems. The environment includes industrial production equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, folder gluers, presses, banders, bundlers, and printing machinery, supported by tools and equipment for electrical troubleshooting, welding, and general mechanical repair. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainfield, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
