Job Description Summary GE Aerospace - Terre Haute announces the following open hourly position: Job Description
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Maintain quality workmanship with attention directed to task at all times. Evaluate quality problems that inhibit the process with an effective solution. Ability to adapt to new methods and / or customer satisfaction. Must display good communication skills, both written and oral. Maintain records and perform related duties in assigned department. Cooperative in meeting schedules and customer satisfaction. Display teamwork attitude towards others in department and facility. Maintain satisfactory attendance and work reasonable amount of overtime as needed. Focus on safety aspect of job This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventative maintenance and documents work performed. Perform basic inspections on forklifts and performs minor repairs with assistance. Installs electrical conduit and components Perform troubleshooting and maintenance associated with programmable logic controllers. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on machine shop equipment (lathes and mills) and lasers. Maintain repairs and rebuilds electrical components Inspects and troubleshoots equipment/machines and makes appropriate repairs Perform single and multiple phase wiring Identifies variances and reports to supervision. Operate forklift and aerial work platforms (boom lift and scissor lift). Coordinates service work with outside technicians. Perform minor repairs to heating/cooling unit. Perform basic electrical work/repairs. Follow all safety and quality standards with willingness to lead by example. Performs selection and validation of new manufacturing equipment. Interpret electrical schematics. Design and modifies electrical circuits.
