Maintenance Technician

Working in hotel maintenance, you are responsible for keeping the hotel maintained and fixing any maintenance or mechanical issues that are needed. Hotel maintenance duties and responsibilities include:  Empty all outside trash cans  Clean parking lot - pick up all trash, debris, leaves, etc.  Pool Maintenance - Clean the swimming pool. Check the pH levels. Log in notebook  Take care of all work orders. If there are any work orders that you cannot fix, bring these items to the manager's attention and they will order parts/resolve the matter  HVAC maintenance  Repair and paint walls  Repair broken furniture  Stain furniture  Fix minor electrical issues  Repair/replace sink faucets, shower knobs, other plumbing issues  Repair water leaks, roof leaks, etc Repair door locks  Preventative Maintenance  Coordinate with GM to see if there are any special projects that need attn.  When there is ice/snow, Maintenance is required to do the following:  Put down ice melt when snow is expected.  Clean driveway and sidewalks. Put down more ice melt  Clean driveway and sidewalks as needed. You can expect physically demanding work that includes using tools and equipment and moving around much of the day, including having to climb ladders, lift heavy items and crawl in tight spaces when necessary. • Maintenance is on-call 24 hours a day. If there is an emergency situation, and maintenance help is needed, you will be required to come in and repair/resolve the maintenance issue. This may occur at any time, day or night. We have no way of predicting maintenance emergencies that may arise. You will be compensated for this time. •You will be required to maintain a cell phone at all times. Maintenance is on-call 24 hours a day for emergency situations.
