Days/Hours of Work:
2nd Shift - 2:00pm - 10:30pm with either Fri/Sat off or Sun/Mon off Job Summary At Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling, you can build a long-term career in maintenance with a clear path from entry-level roles to advanced technical and leadership positions. Gain hands-on experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment while developing skills in mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and automation. The Preventive Maintenance Technician supports equipment reliability and asset longevity by executing scheduled preventive maintenance activities. This role independently executes assigned preventive maintenance tasks, including routine inspections, lubrication, basic mechanical adjustments, and facility maintenance, while developing foundational skills for progression into a Maintenance Technician role. Works closely with Maintenance Technicians and Supervisors to identify and escalate potential issues before failures occur.

Job Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) tasks in accordance with established schedules, procedures, and standard work. Complete lubrication activities, including greasing bearings, chains, gearboxes, and related components. Inspect equipment for basic mechanical wear, leaks, vibration, or abnormal operating conditions and promptly escalate findings. Perform basic mechanical adjustments and limited component replacements under defined standards and supervision. Support preventive maintenance of building facilities and facility‑related equipment. Accurately document PM activities, inspections, and findings in SAP, including completion of PM checklists. Communicate inspection results and potential risks clearly to Maintenance Technicians and Supervisors. Conduct failure analysis and Root Cause investigation. Conduct Predictive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime. Follow all safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures; actively support a safe work environment and report hazards. Keep work areas clean and organized in accordance with 5S and GMP standards. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED required; technical coursework or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environment, or equivalent hands on mechanical experience Experience performing routine preventive maintenance tasks such as inspections, lubrication, and basic adjustments Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify wear, leaks, vibration, and abnormal equipment conditions Ability to follow standard work instructions, PM schedules, and safety procedures Working knowledge of hand tools and basic maintenance equipment Basic computer skills with the ability to document work and complete PM records in a CMMS (SAP preferred) Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and inspections Willingness to learn and develop maintenance skills through hands on training and experience
Physical Requirements Standing:
Frequently (standing on feet for extended periods of time), up to 12 hours.

Occasional use of ladders or stairs.

Frequent work in a non-climate-controlled environment (cold, hot)
Pay:
