Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Pay $25- $27 Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with expertise in either electrical systems such as PLCs and running conduit, or strong fabrication skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, with a focus on electrical and mechanical systems. Experience in automation controls is a significant advantage. Responsibilities Perform all aspects of maintenance including PM maintenance, hydraulics, forklift repair, plant electrical (480v-3ph), and plant maintenance. Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs on machinery and facility systems. Work outdoors in various weather conditions and at heights up to 50 feet. Operate boom and scissor lifts safely. Adhere to the company's PPE program and LOTO safety rules. Ensure reliable attendance and punctuality. Communicate effectively about potential issues and repairs needed. Maintain organization and cleanliness in the work area. Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance and electrical systems. Proficiency in PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Knowledge of 480 Volt systems. Experience in industrial maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Welding and fabrication skills are highly desirable. Experience in automation controls and programming is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and fabricate items accordingly. Experience with electric forklifts, frequency drives, and HVAC systems. Work Environment This position is located in a production facility that manufactures foam products used in various industries such as boating, carpeting, and seating. Work hours are from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility required for overtime and weekend work. The role involves physical tasks, including heavy lifting and working in varied temperature conditions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newton, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
