Job Description

Multi Craft Machine Maintenance Technician Direct hire position 2nd shift 230p-11p Position Summary- Machine Maintenance Technician Responsible for assisting Manufacturing and Engineering with fixture design and troubleshooting, PLC troubleshooting and programming, weld conditions, robotics, press repairs, and preventative maintenance. Experience Requirements- Machine Maintenance Technician The ideal candidate must possess and be able to satisfactorily demonstrate in-depth electrical, mechanical, fluid power, blueprint reading, and blueprint comprehension skills. Candidates must be able to install advanced electrical wiring and understand PLC Ladder and I/O diagrams. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of three (3) years of industrial experience and/or experience in a manufacturing environment. Required Knowledge and Skills Basic Power Wiring Principles Factory Wiring, Conduit, 3 Phase Basic Motor Controls, Contactor/Overloads Advanced Motor Controls, Servo/VFD Drives Electrical Diagram Reading Relay Circuit Troubleshooting/Wiring PLC Wiring Machine PLC Troubleshooting Basic PLC Programming (I/O Re-assignment) Robots/Troubleshooting Resistance Welding Control Basic Computer Skills (Windows Operating System, File Control, etc.) Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, and Troubleshooting The ideal candidate must be able to work independently on any shift. Candidates should possess strong knowledge and experience working with programmable controllers and have mechanical exposure in an industrial environment. Must possess knowledge of all safety procedures and OSHA standards relative to automotive manufacturing and maintenance operations. Extensive knowledge of PLC Ladder and I/O diagrams and Robotics is required. PLC knowledge in Fuji and Omron is a plus. Knowledge of weld fixture design and fabrication, Progressive, Tandem, and Transfer Presses, and Electrodeposition Paint Systems is required. Education Requirements College / Technical College / Degree / Skills License / Certification Requirements Journeyman Electrician Preferred PLC Physical Demands / Working Conditions Primary portion of work is performed in a well-lit, ventilated facility. Prolonged, extensive, or considerable sitting, standing, and walking. Position requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, bending, handling, and/or use of tactile information. Must be able to express ideas or exchange thoughts through talking, hearing, reading, and/or writing. Requires motor coordination, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, eye-hand-foot coordination, and may include transporting objects and lifting up to 50 pounds. Exposure to various cleaning supplies, chemicals, and other agents utilized in a manufacturing environment.
