Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), electrical circuits, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Perform welding tasks and residential painting as needed to maintain building aesthetics and structural integrity. Operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment to identify faults accurately. Manage facilities maintenance requests efficiently using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance history. Supervise contractors or junior team members during maintenance projects, ensuring safety standards and quality control are upheld. Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance and future planning. Oversee safety protocols related to electrical work, welding, and other technical tasks to ensure a secure working environment. Assist with supervising overall hotel facilities operations, including managing emergencies or urgent repairs promptly. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or residential setting is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience is essential for troubleshooting diverse systems effectively. Hands-on experience with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals is required for accurate diagnostics. Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance team demonstrates your ability to manage projects and guide others confidently. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management enhances operational efficiency. Knowledge of manufacturing processes or industrial maintenance can be advantageous but is not mandatory. Excellent customer service skills are vital for interacting professionally with guests, staff, and contractors in a lively hotel environment.
