32, WG-5801-12, you will inspect a large variety of heavy-duty mobile equipment and automotive vehicles. Inspect heavy artillery, small arms, powered support and other equipment or components of equal or lesser complexity. Inspect complex, interreled mechanical, hydraulic, pneumic, electronic and electrical systems, equipment and their components while in operion or in a standby condition. Inspect and perform tests to braking, steering, large engines, intrice fuel injection systems, turret stabilizion systems, and other systems combined in a single, complex mechanical assembly. Use specially designed testing methods and test equipment to assure th tolerance and safety factors have been met. Inspect equipment to determine repairs needed. Utilize established Maintenance Expenditure Limits (MEL) to evalue economic feasibility of repair(s). Consider a variety of factors such as cost and availability of parts, man-hours, and impact of time constraints on the mission to assess whether repair is economical. Recommend to a higher echelon to condemn equipment when the repair costs exceed the established MEL. Prepare lists of needed repairs, parts, and man-hours authorized. Perform in-process inspections to assure th equipment is being repaired in accordance with pertinent requirements. Perform final inspection, certifying th equipment is in sisfactory opering condition, or reject the work and return the equipment to the repair shop with specific reports prescribing additional repairs. Serve as inspector on Command Maintenance Evaluion Teams (COMET) and/or as a member of Maintenance Assistance and Instruction Teams (MAIT). Perform other duties as assigned. You must maintain membership in the Kentucky Nional Guard. You must be assigned to a compible military position. Wear of the military uniform. Position may require a pre-employment physical. Experience which demonstres knowledge of equipment to be able to do routine jobs, simple preventive maintenance tasks, and is able to use common tools and equipment in the line of work.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Must have least 18 months experience diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and modifying more complex vehicles, equipment, and more compliced systems. Experience which has provided a thorough knowledge of diagnostic equipment. Experience applying independent judgment in determining methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems. Experienced in testing, inspecting, and evaluing the work performed on vehicles, equipment and systems.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
