Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment by performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and supporting ongoing facility improvements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and technical skills in a fast-paced setting that values teamwork and excellence. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and appliances to ensure optimal performance. Conduct repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals. Operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Assist with residential painting projects to enhance property aesthetics and protect surfaces. Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks. Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety standards and quality control are upheld. Support manufacturing or residential environments by maintaining equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure to minimize downtime. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with residents or team members regarding maintenance requests or project updates. Lead or collaborate with team members on complex repairs or upgrades while demonstrating leadership qualities in supervising experience roles. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with schematics and technical diagrams. Proficiency in electrical work including troubleshooting circuits with tools like ohmmeters and understanding electrical codes. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks. Skilled in welding techniques for structural repairs or fabrication projects. Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices within residential or manufacturing settings. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints accurately. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork.
Pay:
$11.00 - $14.00 per hour
