Onsite Position Join Komatsu and Be Part of Something Big! Job Overview Komatsu is looking for a Maintenance Technician in Lexington, KY at their Remanufacturing facility. This is a 2nd shift position. Key Job Responsibilities Work safely and follow all KEC/Customer safety policies and procedures. Complete related paperwork and access databases require to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely. Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations. Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision. Ability to provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to the customer. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs. Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments. Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis. Qualifications/Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with troubleshooting, repairing, and inspecting cranes is preferred. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos Ability to write simple correspondence Computer Skills Knowledge of database software, Internet software, manufacturing software and order processing systems Analytical Skills Uses intuition and experience to complement data Problem Solving Skills Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner Oral and Written Communication Skills Speaks and writes clearly and informatively Teamwork Skills Balances team and individual responsibilities Planning/Organizing Skills Prioritizes and plans work activities Professionalism Reacts well under pressure; accepts responsibility for own actions; follows through on commitments Safety Observes safety procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions Adaptability Adapts to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work. Policies and Procedures Abide by all Company policies and procedures Work Environment Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
