Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
(Opening is for 2nd Shift) Repair and maintain company equipment. Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns with schematics, drawings, and PLC programs. Works within cross functional team to develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing process improvements and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs repair, preventive, and predictive maintenance on production machines. Diagnoses machine problems and correct with appropriate actions. Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work area. Performs equipment set up and preparation for production. Conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of plant production and facilities. Utilize skills to read and modify existing PLC/Robot/Vision programs to fix or make improvements to manufacturing equipment.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs, maintains 5S in the work area. Works any shift as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
(Skills, Abilities, Training/Education, and Experience) 2yr Technical Degree in Industrial Maintenance or Electrical or equivalent experience. 3
  • 5 years of experience in industrial / electrical maintenance Electrical & PLC knowledge, Omron, Allen Bradley, or Mitsubishi.
Experience with Electrical/Electronic systems such as sensors, relays, and wiring. Also including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes Experience with Mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic diagrams, and prints. Proficient with computers and programs such as Microsoft Excel Experience with robots and servos. Experience with preventative maintenance practices. Strong communication skills, self-motivated, highly organized
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
(Skills, Abilities, Training/Education, and Experience) Skills in Omron PLCs with ability to modify program and troubleshoot (AB also is a plus) Ability to modify / read robot programs Experience with servos (IAI / Mitsubishi)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Able to lift minimum of 30 pounds and willing to scale heights using a personnel lift to make some repairs or additions to machines and facilities.
