Monday-Friday Job Summary:
MS Companies is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support a manufacturing operation in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency and minimize downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities with experience in PLC systems, automation equipment, and preventive maintenance practices. The Maintenance Technician will work cross-functionally with production and engineering teams to identify equipment improvements, implement cost-effective maintenance solutions, and support continuous operational performance while maintaining safety and quality standards. Required Skills & Qualifications Associate degree or Technical Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or equivalent experience 3-5 years of industrial and/or electrical maintenance experience Experience troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems, including: Sensors Relays Wiring systems Diagnostic instruments Working knowledge of PLC systems including: Omron Allen Bradley Mitsubishi Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Ability to read and interpret: Electrical diagrams Mechanical drawings Pneumatic schematics Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel Experience with robots and servo systems Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience modifying and troubleshooting Omron PLC programs Allen Bradley PLC troubleshooting experience Ability to modify and read robot programs including: Yamaha Denso Experience with servo systems including: IAI Mitsubishi Experience supporting automated manufacturing environments Day-to-Day Responsibilities Perform repair, preventive, and predictive maintenance on production equipment Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Perform machine setup and preparation for production activities Read and modify PLC, robot, and vision system programs to troubleshoot and improve equipment performance Support manufacturing and facility operations with skilled maintenance services Conduct testing and repairs of electrical and electronic components Identify and implement process improvements that increase equipment reliability and efficiency Maintain compliance with safety procedures and workplace standards Maintain clean and organized work areas utilizing 5S principles Support production requirements and additional maintenance activities as needed Physical & Work Environment Fast-paced manufacturing environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, and equipment interaction throughout the workday Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly Ability to work at elevated heights using personnel lifts when necessary Ability to work flexible shifts based on operational needs INDQSS2
