In this role, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and installing durable decks that enhance outdoor living spaces. Your expertise in carpentry, metal building erection, concrete forming, and related trades will ensure each project meets high standards of quality, safety, and craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, bringing outdoor visions to life with precision and enthusiasm. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute deck designs. Construct decks using a variety of hand tools and power tools, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. Erect metal building frameworks and install framing using carpentry skills such as woodworking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing. Prepare surfaces by performing concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing to create stable foundations for decks. Install siding, roofing, stucco, and other exterior materials to complement deck structures and ensure weather resistance. Operate heavy equipment safely for site preparation, material handling, and demolition tasks related to deck construction projects. Collaborate with project managers and team members to adhere to schematics, safety protocols, and project timelines while maintaining high-quality standards. Experience Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on carpentry or deck building projects. Strong knowledge of metal building erection, concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry, welding, roofing, siding, plastering, restoration, remodeling, and related trades. Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics to interpret project specifications accurately. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and safety procedures on construction sites. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail throughout each phase of the project. Prior background in framing carpentry, woodworking, trim carpentry or stucco work is highly desirable. Demonstrated commitment to quality craftsmanship with a focus on safety standards in construction environments.
