Job Description

OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Mechanic installs, maintains, repairs and troubleshoots all industrial equipment within the refinery using standard mechanical tools associated with tasks.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Installs, maintains, repairs and troubleshoots all industrial equipment within the refinery such as pumps, valves, conveyors, screw conveyors, drives, conveyor elevators, centrifugals, and other closely aligned mechanical devices using equipment such as cutters, dies, heating torch, welding, brazing, drill motors, wrenches, hoists etc.
Works in a safe manner following all refinery safety requirements
WORK EXPERIENCES A
minimum of 3 years of experience working in maintenance or in a mechanical position in an industrial or related setting.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Candidate must have the ability to: Lift up to 50lbs
Use hands and arms to reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and manipulate materials and tools
Walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, stoop, crawl, and climb constantly throughout the shift
Reach, bend, twist, rotate, push and pull frequently
Work in confined spaces
Work independently as well as a team player
Climb up and down ladders
Must be able to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as but not limited to protective footwear, clothing, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
Must regard safety as a core value; Must be able to work safe and in a proficient manner.
This position requires the flexibility to work various shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and overtime, as needed. Weekend shifts may be mandated based on business need.
