In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing repairs to uphold the highest standards of safety, comfort, and functionality for our guests and staff. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance will help create a welcoming environment that exceeds expectations. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and mechanical components to minimize downtime. Conduct welding, residential painting, and other specialized repairs to maintain property aesthetics and safety standards. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule future tasks efficiently. Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during projects such as facilities upgrades or large-scale repairs while ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems. Manage facilities maintenance projects with attention to detail, quality control, and timely completion to enhance guest satisfaction. Ensure compliance with safety regulations by using tools like ohmmeters and adhering to electrical codes during repairs or installations. Support customer service initiatives by responding promptly to guest requests related to room or facility issues. Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized workspace while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or residential environment is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in welding, painting, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical systems, and CMMS software is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to supervise or lead maintenance teams or contractors effectively while ensuring high-quality work standards. Experience working with tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment for electrical troubleshooting. Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and collaboration across departments. Prior background in manufacturing or industrial settings will be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
