Hotel General Maintenance

Job Summary Maintains grounds, building facilities and guest rooms. Responsible for daily cleaning and upkeep, preventive maintenance, small repair and tasks, special projects, and communicating larger maintenance needs to the General Manager/Engineer/Operations Manager. Duties and Responsibilities Ensures the best possible lodging experience for each and every hotel guest. Orders and installs small maintenance items as needed for repair, under direction of General Manager/Engineer/Operations Manager. Completes tasks and assignments on the daily Maintenance Checklist. Completes Maintenance Request Forms within 24 hours. Ensure OSHA and other Safety Standards are followed. Adhere to safety procedures, perform safety inspections. Follow "3 feet from electrical panel and 18 inches from the ceiling" rules. Ensure fire extinguishers are checked monthly and serviced yearly. Ensure proper Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures are followed. Ensure all service and repair requests are put in the Quore/ServicePro, and all completion reports are registered in the Quore/ServicePro as well. Completes Preventive Maintenance program on a timely basis. Perform other such duties assigned by Property Management to meet guest or operational needs. Ensures exterior building and grounds are clean by use of a pressure washer and blower when directed. Paints walls, ceilings, doors and window trim as directed by property preventative maintenance program. Maintains clean, organized maintenance workshop and storerooms. Perform other duties as assigned by management.. Qualifications High School diploma and/or trade school course work in related field preferred. Previous maintenance experience required. General knowledge of heating, air conditioning, electric and plumbing skills. Knowledge and ability to use basic work tools and equipment. Ability to patch holes and paint walls. Ability to work well under limited supervision. Ability to work well with others. Strong work ethic. Working Conditions You may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. Must be able to work with challenging clients / employees.
