Job Description
The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, equipment, and guest rooms to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and staff. This position performs routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations. Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical systems. Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to hotel schedules. Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues to determine proper solutions. Maintain swimming pool, fitness equipment, and other hotel amenities if required. Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and hotel standards. Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inventory. Assist with room renovations, painting, drywall repair, and carpentry projects. Work closely with housekeeping and front desk teams to minimize guest disruptions. Monitor and maintain tools, supplies, and maintenance equipment. Support energy conservation and cost-saving initiatives. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous hotel, apartment, or commercial maintenance experience preferred. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair techniques. Ability to use hand and power tools safely. Basic computer and work order system knowledge preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
Pay:
