Maintenance Technician

Mechatronics & Robotics Maintenance Technician Must be open to working any shift Sunday-Wednesday OR Wednesday-Saturday Job Description This role supports the Operations Maintenance team by installing, maintaining, and repairing material handling, mechatronics, and robotic systems in a large, highly automated distribution facility. You will work with conveyors, automated packaging and distribution equipment, and pneumatic systems, ensuring they operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. The position requires flexibility to work any 10-hour shift and a strong commitment to preventive and predictive maintenance. Responsibilities Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, including conveyor systems and related automation components. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance routines on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, following established documentation and procedures. Conduct battery changes and perform preventive maintenance on industrial batteries to ensure reliable equipment operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues on material handling equipment, automated conveyor systems, and robotic components. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation to diagnose problems and perform repairs. Enter downtime data into daily logs and accurately complete preventive maintenance sheets and related documentation. Manage work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring timely updates and closure of maintenance tasks. Track, store, and organize department inventory, including spare parts and critical components, to support efficient maintenance operations. Monitor and support the operation of automated distribution and conveyor systems, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime. Apply knowledge of basic electrical components and electronic principles to troubleshoot input and output functions of building and equipment control systems. Follow and demonstrate safety standards and procedures in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines and internal safety policies. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and enhance equipment reliability and performance. Use Microsoft Office applications to document work, generate reports, and communicate maintenance activities and findings. Support robotic operation and maintenance activities, including running diagnostics, inspections, and adjustments on robotic equipment. Adapt to performance metrics and data-driven tracking systems, consistently working to meet or exceed established expectations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Shreveport, LA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.
