2 years at Liberty of related industry experience. Has a good understanding of engines and transmissions. All training must be signed off by the appropriate leadership showing understanding and completion of training before the progression test can be given. Co-worker referral must be scored a minimum of 25 out of 30 before progression test can be given. Progression test will be given after 6 months of service and requires a score of 90% to be considered passing. Possesses an advanced tool set. A willingness to learn and retain information. A willingness to train and share knowledge of Liberty equipment with other Liberty employees. To follow all safety process and procedures. Must not have received any write-ups within the past year. Training:
Hydraulic courses. A/C certification for evacuation and charging. DOT Inspection certification. Basic welding knowledge and theory. Knowledge of engine/transmission diagnostic software. Power end inspection and theory. Employees will have the opportunity to attend the listed above training courses and will receive a certificate of completion at the end of each course. Courses will be scheduled throughout the year to ensure that all employees have the opportunity to receive the scheduled training. A training schedule will be posted and made available to all employees along with prior notice of courses that have been scheduled for employees from their supervisor or manager. All training will be tracked on a progression form to ensure that the training requirements have been met.
Cross-Training Electronics Department:
Will be required to complete two days of cross training in the Electronics Department to have a good understanding of basic electronics and Lime functions. Cross training will be scheduled by the Maintenance Manager/Electronics Supervisor and must be completed in the first month of employment. Upon completion of cross training, must be signed off by Maintenance Manager and Electronics Supervisor.
Parts Department:
Will be required to complete two days of cross training in the Parts Department to have a good understanding of part ordering, issuing and their process. Cross training will be scheduled by the Maintenance Manager/Parts Manager and must be completed in the first month of employment. Upon completion of cross training, must be signed off by Maintenance and Parts Manager. Must have a good understanding of clutch inspection, repair and adjustment process. Has basic knowledge of welding and fabrication.
Primary Responsibilities:
MUST FOLLOW ALL SAFETY REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS
Can perform DOT inspections and repairs with no instruction. Basic understanding of the use of diagnostic software and how to use it. Proficient knowledge of hydraulic systems and their correct settings. Can perform hydraulic system troubleshooting. Proficient knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting. Understands of proper engine troubleshooting, maintenance and repair. Understands of proper transmission troubleshooting, maintenance and repair. Basic understanding of Kalmar troubleshooting and repair. Has a good understanding on basic equipment operation and theory.. Performs power end inspections and repair. Basic understanding of troubleshooting and repair of Lincoln greaser. Performs major component changes (Engines, Transmissions and Power Ends). Understands of fluid end inspection, repair and theory. Possesses skill set to inspect and change out suction/discharge pumps with no instruction. Is proficient in performing all PM services with no guidance. Must have a good understanding of pump drives, their inspection, repair and theory.
