Job Description

The maintenance tech is responsible for assisting the EOC Director in the overall safety of the hospital and for all hospital operations related to Environment of Care and Life Safety. A maintenance tech considers the safety of our patients, visitors, and employees from the perspective of our physical surroundings, work processes and operational procedures. The tech assists in overseeing the entire campus maintenance and environmental services operations of our campus that is dedicated to excellence in all aspects of patient, employee, and family safety. The maintenance tech is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant including, building, grounds, and all Maintenance needs. The maintenance tech assists the director and is responsible for all the overall safety of the hospital and for all hospital operations related to Environment of Care and Life Safety. Basic maintenance in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Including but not limited to:
HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting etc.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Education:
Bachelor's degree or experience in the building trades with an emphasis on life safety and the environment of care of healthcare settings.
License:
None.
Experience:
3-5 years in a hospital or nursing home setting.
