The Job You Will Perform:

The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of activities to maintain plant equipment and facilities in optimum operating condition. These activities include scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency/break down repairs. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Must follow all safety rules and procedures; watch out for self and team member's safety at all times. Always follow lock out and tag out, MSK, and always use personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toed shoes & safety vest, others as required). Must understand and carry out housekeeping standards. Must demonstrate teamwork and resolve issues effectively and professionally. Must be capable of running machine at safe speeds and top quality to meet customer needs.

Primary Maintenance Technician duties/responsibilities include:

Follow all safety rules and practices; Perform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels; Perform emergency / break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations; Reference equipment manuals and other technical literature; contacting and working with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results; Accurately using precision measurement and test equipment; Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed. Maintain clean and organized work areas, and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks; Accurately prepare, complete, and maintain records and other paperwork. Trouble-shoot and solving problems; Welding and Fabrication Pipe fitting and Plumbing Precision Bearing installation and removal Interpret mechanical drawings / Blueprints Knowledge in SAP work order system or similar platform Maintain teamwork with other associates Keep supervision informed of problems and/or unusual situations; Performing other duties as assigned by supervision.

The Skills You Will Bring:

Demonstrated ability to detect, prevent, and resolve quality issues, involving the Operator or management for resolution of issues or confirming quality expectations as needed. Must be able to read a standard tape measure, read and thoroughly understand job specifications, and follow written and oral directions. Must be a self-starter, able to operate from directions or independently as needed. Demonstrated ability to add and subtract all units of measure read and copy figures, and count and record figures. A comprehension level is required to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in English in written or oral form and to deal with problems. Constant standing, walking, and reaching at or below shoulder level; frequent twisting, bending, and lifting from the ground; repetitive lifting up to 35 pounds. Must be willing and able to work daily and weekly overtime, including weekends, as business conditions require. Must be willing to accept direction from the Operator to insure the most efficient operation possible. All other duties as assigned.
