Divisions:
OMG Roofing Products and FastenMaster®. OMG Roofing Products is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added components for the commercial roofing industry. The FastenMaster Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. The Preventive Maintenance Technician performs scheduled preventative maintenance on all production and support machinery. This position maintains machinery and equipment used in fabricating metal parts and tools.
Requirements:
Position Responsibilities Promotes Safety as the Number One Priority of all OMG employees. Confer with machine operators and group leaders to coordinate assigned preventative maintenance activities. Keep records of all machine's preventative maintenance results. Check safety devices on all machines. Recommend measures to improve production methods and equipment performance. Work unscheduled shifts and overtime to ensure maintenance coverage and maximum production efficiency. Assist facility maintenance as required. Perform other tasks as assigned. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must possess a valid driver's license and be certified to operate all assigned industrial lifts. Knowledge of basic repairs, welding, and cutting procedures, setting up and operating general machine shop equipment, and correct use of machinist's measurement tools. Strong sense of responsibility and ownership, and able to work as a team player. Positive can-do attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to work in high-noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices. Ability to mount/dismount forklift utilizing three points of contact (two hands and one foot). Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch. Ability to work in an elevated ambient temperature environment. Ability to utilize stepladders, extension, and fixed ladders. Ability to work at elevated work heights, mezzanines, roofs, decks, and/or mobile working platforms. The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time. Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to complete all essential job functions listed in the position responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
