Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and proactive Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role is vital in maintaining guest satisfaction by providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment. Candidates with supervisory experience and leadership skills are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Troubleshoot and repair issues related to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), wiring, and electrical components Conduct residential painting, drywall repairs, and general carpentry work as needed Operate tools such as ohmmeters, schematics, and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults Maintain documentation of maintenance activities using a comprehensive maintenance log Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during specific projects or repairs Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility protocols Assist with renovation projects and facility upgrades while adhering to quality standards Ensure the property and its grounds are maintained at a high level including disposal of waste and groundskeeping Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns related to facilities promptly and professionally Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or residential setting Strong electrical experience, including working with schematics and troubleshooting electrical systems Mechanical knowledge with skills in welding, plumbing, and general repair work Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial maintenance environments is a plus Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance teams is desirable Proficiency in using Google Drive software for work order management Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints effectively Experience with residential painting and general maintenance person skills is advantageous Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters is preferred Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and coordination
