Job Description
SMG is looking for an experienced Utility Worker to be able to work independently with minimal supervision in addition to other general cleaning duties such as detailing, The Utility Worker will provide assistance to facilities' team in the successful execution of the management, staffing, supervision, and performance of services.
- Maintain and care for various types of flooring surfaces, including carpet, tile, hardwood, and vinyl.
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and appearance of floors.
- Operate floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers and polishers, to restore and enhance the shine of floors.
- Operate we/dry vacuums. Carpet Shampoo.
- Identify and address any issues or damages to flooring surfaces, such as stains, scratches, or loose tiles.
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while working with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate cleaning schedules and ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist with other facilities maintenance tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance preferred.
- Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers, polishers, and shampooing carpets.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic to consistently deliver high-quality results.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects when necessary.
