Job Description

Fireking Baking Company 3rd shift Maintenance Tech.
Description:
Fireking is a fast-growing food manufacturer of bread and is seeking 3rs shift Maintenance Tech for night shifts 11PM to 7AM . The 3rd shift Maintenance Tech is responsible for actively pursuing and correcting problems with automated packaging machinery and components throughout the facility. The position will maintain a Food Manufacturing Plant, Equipment, & Grounds in accordance with established Safety, Quality, Food Safety (SQF), and Food Defense standards.
Essential Functions:
  • Maintain, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, steam, water and pneumatic systems/components found in food manufacturing equipment related to all packaging, processing, filling and facility systems (industrial, refrigeration, compressed air and high-pressure steam systems, pallet jacks, pumps, heat exchanges and boilers
  • Maintain production line machinery and equipment to manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications
  • Complete repairs of mechanical and structural components on production lines
  • Diagnosing electric motor, motor control and device control problems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical control and power circuits
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrically controlled equipment, including PLC controlled and solid-state equipment
  • Ability to weld (gas and arc) and solder
  • Ability to identify and order parts and materials from manufacturers manuals and prints
  • Complete the Standard Timing Model mechanical test with a score of 60% or better.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • shift in from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
Job Qualifications:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and skilled use of a variety of hand tools, precision hand tools and measuring instruments required. Preferred competencies in welding, presses, grinders, basic fabrication and PLC logic
  • Knowledge of GMPs, Confined Space, Hot Works, Hazardous/Regulated Waste, Electrical Safety, MSDS, OSHA and other environmental regulations and procedures
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills
  • Able to speak, write and understand English
  • Able to work overtime when necessary.
Flexible availability including weekends/holidays to meet production needs Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Three+ years' Maintenance experience, preferably in the food industry
