Full-Time About Us We are a growing restaurant group operating three successful South Coast restaurants: Cask & Pig Kitchen & Alehouse Bocca SoCo Tavern We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and self-motivated Maintenance Technician/Handyman to help maintain our restaurants, equipment, and facilities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in solving problems, and can independently manage a variety of maintenance projects. Position Overview The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our three restaurant locations. The ideal candidate has experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, equipment maintenance, and general building repairs. Restaurant experience is highly preferred, as many repairs involve commercial kitchen equipment and restaurant operations. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs at all three restaurant locations Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues including sinks, faucets, drains, toilets, and water lines Perform basic electrical work including replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, ballasts, breakers, and troubleshooting electrical problems Assist with HVAC maintenance, filter changes, preventative maintenance, and coordination with outside vendors when necessary Repair and maintain restaurant equipment including refrigeration units, fryers, ovens, grills, dish machines, and small kitchen equipment Complete carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, and general building repairs Respond quickly to maintenance requests from managers and staff Conduct regular inspections to identify and prevent potential issues before they become costly repairs Maintain exterior areas including parking lots, sidewalks, signage, landscaping, and building appearance Coordinate and oversee outside contractors when necessary Maintain organized maintenance records and supply inventories Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with health, safety, and building regulations Participate in occasional emergency repairs outside of normal business hours when needed Qualifications 3+ years of maintenance, facilities, handyman, construction, or related experience Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repair work Restaurant, hospitality, commercial kitchen, or food service maintenance experience strongly preferred Ability to diagnose problems and develop practical solutions Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to prioritize multiple projects across several locations Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work including climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong communication skills and professional attitude What We're Looking For Reliable and punctual Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision Detail-oriented and takes pride in quality workmanship Positive attitude and team-first mentality Honest, trustworthy, and accountable Problem solver who can think on their feet in a fast-paced restaurant environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Full-time, year-round position Stable Monday-Friday schedule Opportunity to work with a growing local restaurant group Supportive management team Employee dining discounts Additional benefits available based on experience and qualifications If you're a skilled handyman or maintenance professional looking for a steady schedule and the opportunity to work with a successful local restaurant group, we'd love to hear from you.
