Handyman Job Description This role involves traveling to various properties in the Rhode Island area to perform general maintenance tasks and ensure buildings are in top condition. This position can be labor intensive and really need someone who is willing to get their hands dirty. This is a year round position that will require a vehicle. This position will pay $50,000 a year on salary. An English and Spanish speaker is preferred for this position. Responsibilities Drive to different properties in the Providence Rhode Island area. Perform general maintenance and repair work on buildings. Conduct janitorial duties and maintain cleanliness. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues as they arise. Engage in carpentry tasks and patch roofs. Cut concrete when necessary and dispose of garbage. Install new flooring as needed. Essential Skills Proficiency in repair and maintenance work. Experience in a couple of the following trade skillsets: carpentry, painting, plumbing, some HVAC, roofing, minor electrical knowledge Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with patching roofs. Knowledge of sheetrock installation. Ability to cut concrete. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is set in commercial properties (ie restaurants, retail stores, office buildings) environment, with a typical workweek from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The role entails working with a range of tools and equipment necessary for building maintenance and repair tasks Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fall River, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
