Property Maintenance Technician Greenfield, MA Apply Property Maintenance Technician Pay:
\$21.00•\$23.00 per hour Job description: Under the direction of the Service Maintenance Manager, the Service Technician is responsible for promptly responding to all service requests, apartment turnover preparation, and the overall preservation and maintenance of the property. This role requires a strong degree of building trades skills and the ability to work independently across apartment interiors, exteriors, and site grounds.

This position is full-time (40 hours per week), temporary with the potential to become permanent, with a standard schedule of 7:00 AM•3:00 PM or 8:00 AM•4:00 PM.
Anticipated pay rate:
\$20•$23 per hour. Responsibilities Diagnose and perform repairs related to appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, and basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Respond to and complete all service requests and on-call emergencies in a timely and professional manner, as directed by the Community Manager or Service Manager. Complete or monitor vendor preventive maintenance tasks for building systems, equipment, and components. Prepare vacant apartments for new resident move-ins, including repairs and turnover work. Maintain grounds and common areas, including cleaning, trash management, landscaping, and snow removal. Prepare units and address deficiencies for
REAC/HQS
inspections and audits. Maintain the maintenance shop and inventory to company standards while working with a safety-first mindset, including proper PPE use. Be available for weekend work, on-call rotation, and emergency service calls. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor by providing technical guidance to Maintenance Technician I staff. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English (bilingual skills are a plus). Basic computer skills and ability to use handheld devices. Knowledge of Federal Fair Housing Laws and guidelines is a plus. Working knowledge of hand and power tools, cleaning supplies, and PPE. Valid driver?s license and reliable transportation. Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to manage difficult situations professionally. Physical Demands & Work Environment Occasionally ascend/descend ladders to service lights and ceiling fans. Frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across the site. Regularly work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
