Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and reliable Industrial Maintenance Technician / Mechanic to join our food production facility. This role ensures all production machinery operates safely and efficiently through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on industrial experience and strong technical problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and ensure production efficiency. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment issues, including motors, conveyors, pumps, and packaging machines. Work with PLCs, VFD drives, relays, fuse boxes, HMIs, and industrial control systems to identify and resolve faults. Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery and components as needed to restore operational condition. Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using CMMS or similar systems. Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and safety regulations, including strict lockout/tagout procedures. Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to support continuous improvement and minimize downtime. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred. Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally in food or beverage manufacturing. Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Proven experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, relays, HMIs, and electrical control systems. English-speaking with clear communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in varied positions (standing, bending, crouching) and in industrial environments with noise and machinery.
