Maintenance Mechanic Job Description The maintenance mechanic will join a dedicated maintenance team responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of 4 extruder lines. The role involves an equal split between preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance, with a current focus on addressing a backlog of PMs and work orders. Initial training will occur on the first shift, with the duration dependent on the individual's skills. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues. Conduct repairs and maintenance on machinery and equipment. Read and interpret schematics for maintenance tasks. Collaborate with team members to address maintenance backlogs. Ensure the efficient operation of extruder lines. Essential Skills Minimum of 2-3 years in an industrial maintenance role. General knowledge of basic electrical gear, motors, and controls. Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to read, write, and comprehend English well. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and stand for the entire shift. Experience in extrusion maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with robotics and automation is highly valuable. Ability to perform welding and electrical troubleshooting. Capability to work with a robotic system for packaging. Why Work Here? • 7:00 AM) shifts. Employees must be prepared to engage in physically demanding tasks such as standing for long periods and lifting heavy items. The team operates in a dynamic setting with advanced technologies, including robotic systems. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leominster, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00
