POSITION DEFINITION

The Oxford Housing Authority is looking for a full-time (37.5hrs/wk.) Maintenance Technician. Applicants must be able to perform a wide range of exterior/interior maintenance of property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Ability to properly use hand/power tools, step ladders/ladders, landscaping and snow removal machines. Ability to handle/fix electrical issues Ability to paint ceilings and or walls Ability to clean appliances Ability to remove carpet and tack strips, replace/clean VCT tile Ability to access and repair the condition of plumbing issues (faucet changes, tub stoppers, clogs, drains, and replacing fill valves/flappers), Ability to replace counter/deck board Ability to operate lawn mowers, trimming hedges, weed killer, properly assess and utilize slip fall prevention methods, and snow removal. Ability to sweep floors, wipe tables, cleaning community bldg. bathrooms with correct usage of chemicals. Ability to interact with tenants in a respectful manner always keeping a professional tone Ability to interact and work with coworkers in a respectful manner Ability to take direction from Maintenance Supervisor Ability to Roate every 3 week for on-call duties 0QUALIFICATIONS

AND REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated ability of work experience in the care and maintenance of building and or grounds. Demonstrated knowledge of Plumbing, HVAC, and/or Electrical (Preference will be given to candidates with said working knowledge). Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions Demonstrated ability to pass a wellness physical, including drug/alcohol, CORI (Criminal Offender Record) screening. Graduation from high school/GED is required. College Degree preferred in related field.
