Place 2B Properties is looking for a full-time motivated and self-driven maintenance technician to join our team servicing residential properties. This position is for the Salem/Keizer and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills and an ability to problem-solve. Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Perform various maintenance functions including, but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, exterior building maintenance, etc. which may include both urgent and routine maintenance of property. Complete Apartment Turnovers within budget and on schedule. Maintain work order system utilizing a tablet and/or computer and provide follow up verification of completion in a timely manner. Inspect property grounds; identify issues requiring maintenance, repair or replacement. Promptly and effectively communicate with maintenance leadership regarding all maintenance issues located at any given property. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and provide outstanding customer service to all residents, property owners, and vendor partners. Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships between departments and with coworkers. Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. On Call for property emergencies. (Minimum of 1 week per month) Other duties, as assigned. Education and Experience At least two years' property maintenance experience in the property management industry or related field (Required). Knowledge of general maintenance and carpentry skills. Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical repairs required. Must have reliable means of transportation and valid driver's license in Oregon. (Must be able to pass a driver's record check) Must be able to read, write and speak English. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Work Schedule This is a Monday through Friday regular schedule. Will be required to be on-call and assist during staffing deficiencies and/or maintenance emergencies.
