Job Description
Saint-Gobain Maintenance Technician Taunton, MA Apply Equipment Repair & Troubleshooting
- -Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in production and within the facility
- -Disassemble machinery to identify defects and replace components such as bearings, belts, gears, and other related parts
- -Fabricate or modify mechanical parts to restore functionality.
- -Reassemble equipment and verify conformance to specifications.
- -Troubleshoot root cause of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- -Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors for technical support and part replacement.
- -Perform routine PM/PdM tasks on facility and production equipment.
- -Conduct inspections and maintain operational reliability.
- -Support emergency troubleshooting and off-shift repairs when required. Documentation and Compliance
- -Maintain and monitor spare parts inventory; purchase replacement components as needed.
- -Accurately document maintenance activities using CMMS software.
- -Complete the required paperwork and ensure records are up to date. Adhere to and enforce OSHA and company safety policies. Administrative & Ad-Hoc
- -Contribute to 5S and shop cleanliness initiatives.
- -Participate on WCM (World Class Manufacturing) pillar teams. Support and contribute to continuous improvement and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives.
- -High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certificate Forklift Certification, Within 90 days of hire is required 2+ years Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment
- 2+ years Experience working with mechanical or industrial equipment maintenance Basic Computer Skills such as outlook and Excel, and labels, etc. Basic knowledge of measuring equipment Must have the ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language Valid Driver's License is Required Quality & Safety Expectations Employee is responsible to:
