Job Description
Building Technician
Our client provides real estate solutions for government and defense contractors.
- Facilitate and perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on building systems including plumbing, mechanical, HVAC and electrical systems.
- Inspect, calibrate, test and evaluate all building systems on a routine basis.
- Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes.
- Review work orders and control spending to ensure operations stay within budget.
- Report modifications and repairs into CMMS.
- Operate HVAC systems and make adjustments to building automation systems (BAS or EMS or ATC).
- Supervise subcontractors
- Facilitate procurement of supplies and inventory
- Maintain tools, parts and supplies Job Requirements
- Required Skills and Experience
- Must have a minimum of High School Diploma or GED High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Must have a state certified Journeyman license
- Must have a Universal CFC certification
- Must have 5 years of experience working in commercial building maintenance
- Must possess a valid driver's license Preferred Skills and Experience
- State certified Master's license is preferred
- MD 1st Grade Stationary engineer license or equivalent from another state
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency with work order systems
