  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Solar Service & Operations / Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and longevity of solar energy systems across various sites. Your expertise will help maximize energy production and maintain the integrity of our solar assets. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy solutions while developing your skills in electrical systems, construction, and maintenance. Duties Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including high voltage and low voltage components. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Conduct fixture installation, wiring, and electrical connections following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety protocols. Maintain and repair system components such as inverters, transformers, wiring, and mounting structures on rooftops or ground-mounted sites. Utilize hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, plumbing tools, and forklifts to carry out maintenance tasks safely and efficiently. Document all service activities thoroughly in maintenance logs and reports for compliance and future reference. Assist with construction site activities related to system upgrades or new installations, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Skills Strong electrical experience with a focus on high voltage and low voltage systems within commercial or industrial settings. Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams essential for troubleshooting and installation. Knowledge of NEC regulations governing electrical work in commercial environments. Hands-on experience with fixture installation, roofing work, plumbing connections, and construction site operations. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, forklifts, and other construction machinery safely. Experience working on construction sites or with large-scale solar projects is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system maintenance and repair tasks.
