Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and versatile Porter/Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. This energetic role combines hands-on maintenance, basic repair tasks, and general porter duties to support a safe, clean, and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mechanical aptitude, electrical experience, and strong customer service skills to maintain our property's functionality and appearance. Responsibilities Vacant Apartment Cleaning Groundskeeping Common Area Maintenance Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing floors, walls, windows, doors, and surfaces throughout the property Removing trash and debris from common areas, breezeways, parking lots, grounds, and dumpster areas Assisting with trash chute maintenance and ensuring trash rooms remain clean and organized Monitoring the property grounds daily and reporting safety hazards, damages, vandalism, leaks, lighting outages, or maintenance concerns to management Performing light maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, painting touch-ups, pressure washing, and minor repairs as assigned Assisting the maintenance team with apartment turnovers, move-outs, inspections, and preparation of vacant units for new residents Maintaining curb appeal by cleaning sidewalks, removing litter, and ensuring exterior areas are presentable Assisting with snow removal, salting sidewalks, and weather-related property preparation when necessary Responding to work orders or cleaning requests in a timely and professional manner Following all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies while using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and tools Supporting special projects, contractor clean-up, and community events as directed by management Providing excellent customer service to residents and maintaining a professional attitude at all times Reporting supply shortages and maintaining inventory of cleaning products and maintenance materials Assisting with emergency cleanup situations including water leaks, flooding, spills, or common area accidents Skills Previous porter, janitorial, housekeeping, or maintenance experience preferred Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, maintenance tools, and safety practices Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently or as part of a team Good communication and customer service skills Flexibility to respond to emergencies or after-hours needs if required This role is essential in maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, and operational standards of the property.
Pay:
