ABOUT THE ROLE
To work as part of a team to ensure the continuous operation of the cement plant and associated facilities in order to maximize operational efficiency in an environment of continuous learning and improvement; to maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant equipment in accordance with plant needs within MSHA, and Amrize safety guidelines.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Makes mechanical repairs on plant equipment, which may consist of replacing worn and broken parts and making necessary adjustments to put equipment back into operating condition.
  • Ability to disassemble machinery, remove worn and broken parts, replace usable parts, reassembles parts.
  • Installs machinery, caring for alignment, setting, seating, leveling, balancing and adjusting of component parts.
  • Ability to perform burning and basic welding as required.
  • Willing to load and unload repair parts going to and from machine shop and repair site.
  • Inspects mechanical dust collectors for maintenance and repair needs, replaces bags and lubricates as required.
  • Ability to fabricate, install and repair safety devices and guards for plant equipment.
  • Prepares for metal fabrication by measuring objects and working from sketches and drawings.
  • Ability to fabricate metal items such as oil pans, boxes, ducts, spouts, etc.
  • Willing to perform maintenance and repairs on buildings' doors, windows, landings, plumbing, etc.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Education:
High School diploma/GED or 3 years' experience in manufacturing environment in maintenance
Additional Education Preferred:
Mechanical Qualifications/ Certificates of training
Field of Study Preferred:
Mechanical Maintenance Required Work Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience in manufacturing environment in maintenance
Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge of overall cement plant operations, or comparable heavy industrial environment, is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Successful candidates must ad to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven w the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
