This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in their work, enjoys variety in their day, and wants a stable, long-term opportunity with room to grow. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the community is safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents. Un jour dans la vie de (A day in the life of) - Complete general maintenance and repair work, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general repairs Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and service calls Prepare apartments for move-in, including inspections, repairs, and make-ready work Perform routine property walks to identify maintenance or safety issues Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance and storage areas Properly remove and dispose of trash and debris Responding to emergency maintenance issues as part of an on-call rotation Communicate clearly with management and residents regarding repairs and timelines Technicians must have their own basic hand tools. Company-provided tools, equipment, and materials will be available for larger or specialized maintenance needs On-Call & Emergency Response Participate in a consistent rotating on-call schedule, including nights and weekends Must be able to respond to emergencies within 30 minutes Reliable transportation and a working phone are required Qualifications 2-3+ years of maintenance experience (property management, apartment, or related field preferred) High School Diploma or equivalent required Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general maintenance Type II HVAC Certification Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Ability to be on-call and respond to emergencies within 30 minutes (Must have reliable transportation and phone) Strong problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Experience Apartment or student housing maintenance experience Experience working in a fast-paced residential environment Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance, retirement plans) 10 days of PTO in your First Year Performance-based bonuses and commissions Wellness programs Opportunities for training, certification, and career advancement Why Vie Management At Vie Management, we value people who take ownership of their work and care about the communities they serve.
