General Handyman

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Handyman to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will help maintain a high standard of quality across various systems and structures, supporting the overall well-being of our facilities. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, and painting to uphold property standards. Conduct inspections using schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Assist with facilities management by updating maintenance records in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Lead small projects or supervise team members during repair or installation tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Support manufacturing or residential settings by performing welding, electrical work, or mechanical repairs as needed. Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or client concerns promptly and professionally. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, or related fields with a strong mechanical background. Demonstrated ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for electrical and mechanical systems. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), welding techniques, and electrical troubleshooting. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance scheduling and record keeping. Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance or construction environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of residential painting, general carpentry, and basic plumbing is preferred. Strong communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members and clients. Pay:

$27.82 - $33.50 per hour
