Pool Operator

Pool Operator Technician:

Are you passionate about maintaining and ensuring the safety of swimming pools? Do you have experience as a pool operator technician? The Aspen Hill Club is looking for a dedicated, dependable, and experienced Pool Operator Technician to join our team in Silver Spring, Maryland to oversee our indoor, year-round, 25-meter pool.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and operate the pool filtration and chemical treatment systems in accordance with Montgomery County regulations for our indoor 25-meter pool and two locker room whirlpools. Perform routine pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning the pool deck, removing debris from the pool and pool area, and performing daily water tests. Respond to emergency situations such as pool contamination, equipment failure, and severe weather conditions. Monitor pool usage to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations. Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance and water chemistry. Lifeguard hours with the ability to generate additional revenue teaching private and group swim lessons. Supervise, train and oversee Lifeguards.

Qualifications:

Montgomery County Pool Operators Certification. Lifeguarding Certification. CPR, First Aid and AED Certification. Water Safety Training Certification (preferred). High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in pool maintenance and operations.

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of pool maintenance and operation procedures. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
