Job Description

Axiom Staffing is hiring for a Facilities Maintenance role at a company in Westminster, MD. This is a direct hire opportunity.
Salary:
$27.00-$32.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Maintenance Technician to ensure equipment uptime and plant reliability so production can deliver on time, every time. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining facilities, utilities, and production equipment in a safe and compliant manner. The Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Lead and will drive preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and communicate effectively to support operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
Execute preventive maintenance tasks while monitoring reliability metrics (MTBF, MTTR).
Equipment Coverage:
Maintain and troubleshoot systems including powder-coat line and ovens, air compressors/dryers, HVAC/RTUs, sandblasters, vehicle lifts, forklifts, overhead doors, and building utilities (lighting, plumbing, alarms, ventilation).
Technical Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair electrical (24V-480V), mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic PLC/VFD systems to implement permanent fixes.
Work Order & Documentation:
Perform work orders as assigned, ensuring accurate records aligned to companies quality system and compliance standards.
Vendor & Inventory Management:
Work with external vendors, and monitor inventory and company tools.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce OSHA requirements, including lockout/tagout and machine guarding, while adhering to
NFPA 70E/70B
practices.
Communication:
Communicate the initiation and completion of critical jobs to plant floor leadership.
Continuous Improvement:
Perform small reliability projects to help ensure plant production efforts.
Reliability Support:
Be on call after hours and weekends as needed to support urgent maintenance needs.
Salary & Compensation:
The Maintenance Technician position is a full-time, hourly role with compensation based on experience and qualifications. Compensation packages are subject to applicable labor laws, company policies, and payroll regulations.
