Job Description

About Us We are a locally owned, hands-on real estate company managing 4 properties with 50+ apartment units in Augusta. We take pride in running clean, well-maintained buildings and being highly responsive to our residents. This is a small team environment where your work matters. We maintain a strong inventory of tools and materials so you can do your job efficiently and professionally. The Role We're looking for a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician who can take ownership of day-to-day property maintenance and help with ongoing apartment renovations. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and seeing projects through from start to finish. We're looking for someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do. You should be comfortable diagnosing issues, proposing solutions, and taking ownership of getting things done the right way. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair maintenance issues across apartments and common areas (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.) Perform unit turns and assist with remodeling projects (carpentry, finish work, etc.) Complete general repairs and preventative maintenance Handle landscaping and seasonal tasks (including snow removal/plowing) Conduct property inspections and identify issues proactively Communicate clearly about problems, materials needed, and solutions Track work and updates using company software Utilize hand and power tools effectively to complete tasks What Success Looks Like Maintenance issues are resolved quickly and correctly the first time Units are turned efficiently and to a high standard Problems are identified and addressed before they become bigger issues Clear, consistent communication on what's needed, what's done, and what's next You take ownership of your work and follow through without constant direction What We're Looking For Strong general maintenance skills across multiple trades Carpentry experience (framing, trim, or finish work) is a big plus Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently Reliable, accountable, and takes pride in quality work Comfortable using hand and power tools
Requirements:
Valid driver's license Ability to travel between properties in the Augusta area Personal vehicle required for daily use (company truck available when needed) Must have a basic set of personal hand tools for daily maintenance tasks Larger tools and materials are provided by the company Experience is preferred, but attitude, work ethic, and problem-solving ability matter just as much.
