Job Description

Foreside Management, based in Orono, Maine, is seeking a dependable and skilled Part-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $20 to $30 per hour and provides an opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and overall quality of our properties. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner. Working alongside a collaborative and supportive team, you will perform a variety of tasks, including plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, general maintenance, and property upkeep. The role also includes some administrative responsibilities related to maintenance operations and documentation.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable transportation Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Experience in general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, or related trades preferred If you take pride in delivering quality work and helping create safe, comfortable living environments for residents, we encourage you to apply.
Compensation:
$20 - $30 hourly
Responsibilities:
Performs a wide variety of general and semi-skilled tasks such as carpentry, flooring, gutters, painting, drywall, light plumbing, and light electrical Ensures all repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule Demonstrates superior customer service Ability to identify, diagnose, and fix a variety of maintenance issues and notify management when a licensed professional is needed Loading and unloading building materials and tools Being compliant with all health and safety regulations Keep a record of completed repairs and when the equipment was last serviced Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and electrical wiring to ensure optimal performance and make any repairs Inspect the building for any structural damage to windows, doors, and walls, and perform necessary repairs Establish and implement preventative maintenance protocols to keep equipment operations smooth and eliminate safety risks Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed
Qualifications:
2 years of experience in repairs and maintenance preferred Skilled in maintenance activities such as carpentry, flooring, gutters, painting, drywall, light plumbing, and light electrical Ability to work independently and with other team members Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues Ability to communicate well with people Clean driving record and valid driver's license Must have own tools Should be able to demonstrate an understanding of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems Flexible availability for on-call maintenance requests on nights and weekends About Company Come join Maine's fastest-growing real estate management firm.
