Maintenance Technician, Byron Center 2nd Shift $27-32/hour x4 10's schedule Job Description We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician for our 2nd Shift, operating from 3 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday to Thursday. Fridays are dedicated to preventive maintenance and projects, with 5-6 hours of work. There is some flexibility with shift start and end times within an hour. This role requires expertise in mechanical troubleshooting with gears, pulleys, bearings, motors, conveyors, skid steers, and hi-los. An electrical background with experience in VFDs, motors, and basic electrical troubleshooting is essential. Welding, fabrication, and 480 Volt PLC troubleshooting skills are also required. Responsibilities Perform mechanical troubleshooting on gears, conveyor systems, motors, and belts. Conduct electrical troubleshooting including working with electrical prints, VFDs, and PLCs. Engage in welding and fabrication tasks. Support preventive maintenance and handle projects on Fridays. Maintain and repair industrial equipment such as conveyors, motors, and gearboxes. Essential Skills Mechanical troubleshooting with gears, conveyors, motors, and belts. Electrical troubleshooting with electrical prints, VFDs, and PLCs. Welding and fabrication skills. Experience with 480 Volt PLC troubleshooting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with shredding machines is a plus. Why Work Here? Expect a dusty and dirty atmosphere, working with shredded paper and pellets. The role is for the 2nd shift, with hours from 3 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday to Thursday, and Fridays dedicated to preventive maintenance and projects. Flexibility in shift times is available within an hour. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Byron Center, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
