This role is perfect for a "jack-of-all-trades" who enjoys variety and takes pride in keeping a residential community running smoothly. You will be responsible for general "make-ready" tasks and day-to-day repairs to ensure our residents have a safe and comfortable living experience.
Key Responsibilities Plumbing:
Perform minor repairs including unclogging drains, repairing leaky faucets, and replacing toilet hardware.
Electrical:
Handle basic electrical tasks such as replacing light fixtures, outlets, switches, and ceiling fans.
Carpentry & General Repairs:
Assist with drywall patching, painting, cabinet hardware adjustments, and minor trim work.
Turnovers:
Assist in preparing vacant units for new move-ins, ensuring all appliances and fixtures are functional.
Grounds & Safety:
Conduct routine property walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs; ensure common areas and gated entrances are well-maintained.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Proven experience in general maintenance and related construction trades (Plumbing, Electrical, or Carpentry).
Tools:
Must possess a basic set of hand and power tools.
Reliability:
Strong work ethic with a track record of punctuality and dependability.
Communication:
Ability to interact professionally with residents and management staff.
Transportation:
Reliable transportation to and from the property in Detroit.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and remain active on your feet throughout the shift. Why Join Us?
