Job Description

Our Client is a rapidly growing manufacturing company specializing in high-quality plastic components for the automotive industry. They provide end-to-end solutions, from design and engineering to production and finishing, supporting leading global manufacturers. Known for their focus on precision, innovation, and operational excellence, they play a key role in enhancing vehicle interiors. With continued expansion and investment in advanced manufacturing capabilities, they are well-positioned for sustained growth. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and minimizing downtime to support continuous operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high safety and performance standards. Responsibilities Diagnose and identify the root causes of unexpected equipment breakdowns and failures. Perform timely and effective repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks in accordance with maintenance schedules and work orders. Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble machinery and components as required. Lubricate and maintain moving parts to ensure optimal machine performance and longevity. Inspect equipment and document damaged, worn, or faulty components. Replace or repair defective parts and components using appropriate tools and techniques. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage. Support installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of production equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop and work environment, including inventory control of spare parts and tools. Assist with facility maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing, electrical work, and general building upkeep. Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Requirements 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong exposure to: Mechanical systems Electrical systems (low and high voltage) Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Experience in plastics manufacturing and/or injection molding equipment is strongly preferred. Proven experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments, ideally within automotive or related industries. Working knowledge of basic PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics (e.g., identifying faults, reading ladder logic, resetting faults). Strong understanding of machine safety systems, including safety relays, interlocks, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures. Experience troubleshooting and repairing automation and mechatronic systems, including sensors, actuators, and control components. Ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 480VAC, including motors, drives (VFDs), relays, and contactors. Familiarity with common industrial sensors (photoelectric, proximity, pressure, temperature, etc.). Basic computer skills for maintenance systems, documentation, and troubleshooting support. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
