This is a full-time, hourly position that will provide quality repair and maintenance services to our restaurants and commercial properties in the greater Grand Rapids area. Maintenance Technician Job Description Provide quality repair and maintenance services to restaurants and commercial properties in the greater Grand Rapids area. Install, troubleshoot and repair systems in a timely and professional manner. Maintenance Technician Duties & Responsibilities (Including but not limited to) Maintain heating, cooler & refrigeration systems Maintain and repair cooking and prep equipment (e.g. grills, fryers, ovens, etc.) Interior and exterior maintenance services including, but not limited to: electrical repair, plumbing repair, painting, carpentry, etc. Perform preventive maintenance Maintain records of all work performed and all parts ordered Operate company truck in a safe and professional manner Coordinates facilities related projects with outside contractors, vendors, maintenance personnel, and affected staff Monitor handling and disposal of hazardous materials and waste Administers and maintains environmental, safety, accident, permit, hazardous materials, ride sharing and facility maintenance records Grants access and oversees outside contractors for maintenance services Maintains Material Safety Data Sheet inventory Job Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Experience in a maintenance role with heating, cooling & refrigeration experience strongly preferred Ability to assess maintenance issues and conduct repairs as appropriate (strong handyman skills highly desirable) Valid driver's license with clean driving history (no DUIs, revocations, or suspensions within the past 5 years) Ability to pass a background check and MVR upon offer Physically able to climb ladders, access HVAC systems, lift up to 50lbs., and work in confined spaces Must exhibit attention to detail and follow-through Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be responsive to management and property needs Ability to adapt to varying work environments and to deal with frequent changes and unexpected events Ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of employees Must have on-call flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays Compensation and Benefits Weekly competitive pay! $25 - $35 per hour based on experience.
