Job Description Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will perform proper diagnosis of any malfunctioning machinery, general repairs, installing new equipment and systems and preventative maintenance program on all assigned machinery as directed by supervisor Key Characteristics Following and maintaining EHS policies Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Computer proficient and good documentation skills Strong communication skills Initiative Problem solving Abilities Reliable Quality oriented Duties & Responsibilities Adhering to all Environmental Health and Safety Policies, and maintaining a clean work environment. Maintain a tidy work environment by following good housekeeping practices in maintenance and tool storage areas, and promptly cleaning up the work area after each job. Perform start-up of new plant equipment Install new equipment and rearrange existing equipment as required. Install Schedule 80 PVC piping, including cutting, fitting, and gluing. Respond to plant emergency repairs as needed. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Maintain preventative maintenance records and perform preventative maintenance on plant Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude Proficiency in using hand and power tools Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints Attention to detailPreferred:
Electrical panel board experience Motor Controls experience Positive displacements pump repair experience Trade school experience for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly desired Education & Experience Required High School Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent to High School Diploma Minimum of 3 years experience of PVC plumbing, OR mechanical repair and maintenance work experiencePreferred:
At least 5 years of maintenance work experience Working Conditions Travel for field repair and install if needed Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities Additional Information At Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
