Manager, Maintenance SUMMARY The Maintenance Technician is a skilled journeyman responsible for installing, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment dealing with hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems within an injection molding manufacturing facility. Equipment includes injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment, process water systems, compressed air systems and automated paint lines.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Mentoring and Monitoring Apprentice Correcting safety issues involving equipment and facilities Performing preventative maintenance on equipment on systems such as injection molding machines, paint lines and process water systems Using Knowledge gained through education and experience to troubleshoot and perform problem solving equipment throughout the manufacturing facility leading to root cause corrective actions and repairs. Installing, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical equipment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required, Journeyman card preferred A minimum of 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment required Basic understanding Electrical, Hydraulic and/or Mechanical systems required Experience with troubleshooting and repairing Electrical, Hydraulic and Mechanical systems preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices. A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 20 on the Cognitive portion).
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position typically does not require any travel.
