Job Description

Our client, a well-established manufacturer in the Lansing, MI area, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team on 3rd shift . This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term stability, growth potential, and a hands-on role supporting critical manufacturing operations. If you have a strong mechanical and electrical background and enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment, this role could be a great match. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be part of a collaborative team responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of production equipment within the Molding, Paint, and Assembly departments. You'll work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and other technicians to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, or replace components of manufacturing equipment, including electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical parts, pumps, and piping. Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on all machinery. Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs. Read and interpret parts breakdowns and machine schematics. Fabricate and weld equipment components as needed. Support continuous improvement efforts related to equipment performance and safety. Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow company safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret machine schematics and technical diagrams. Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Strong fabrication and welding skills. Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks. Comfortable working in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Experience:
Associate's Degree in a technical field preferred; equivalent work experience considered. Candidates currently pursuing a technical degree with relevant work experience are also encouraged to apply. Previous experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
